Foreign Language & the Common Core

Paul Sandrock, Associate Director of ACTFL

Paul Sandrock is the Associate Director (and past president) of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). He will speak about the common core standards and Chinese language teaching. Mr. Sandrock has been a key player in ACTFL's project to align the ACTFL national standards for foreign language learning with the new common core standards. We are very lucky to have Mr. Sandrock present at our October forum!

This forum will be held in NYU's Kimball Hall Lounge, 246 Greene Street at Waverly Place. In addition to the keynote speech, teachers from New York schools will share their teaching stories, favorite activities, and more. Dinner will be served. Professional development credits are available for in-service teachers.
