Beijing Language and Culture University Press (BLCUP) is a
state-owned corporation of Beijing Language and Culture University.
Since it was founded in 1985, BLCUP has drawn on the university’s
language resources to make foreign language teaching and the
communication of Chinese culture the main focus of its publications,
which mainly target foreigners. BLCUP firmly believes in
“specialized and professional” development and avoids blindly trying
to scale up its business. Focusing on international education and
the diffusion of Chinese culture, it has grown into a well-known
publishing company in this field.
In 2011, BLCUP responded to demand in
the North American market for both Chinese culture and Chinese
language learning by establishing the wholly owned subsidiary
company Phoenix Tree Publishing Inc. in Chicago. Since its

Center for International Foreign Language
Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia
University
Aiming to promote top-notch teacher training
activities and to pursue classroom-based inquiries, the Center
for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at
Teachers College, Columbia University currently offers two
teacher training programs (i.e., the TCSOL one-year
certificate program in New York City and the TCSOL/TESOL
Summer Dual Certificate Program in Beijing), one tutoring
program (available both online and onsite), and professional
development programs (e.g., the visiting scholar program and
professional development workshops).
Interested applicants are invited to attend the Center's

27th, 2017, 5:00pm-8:30pm at
Teachers College, Columbia University.
