In this session, educators will
experience first-hand the benefits of using technology in the classroom.
Through a series of Web-based applications, participants will explore a wide
range of interactive methods to advance and reinforce the communication and
literacy skills of Chinese-language students. These student-centered
tools promote individually paced learning, creativity in problem solving and
critical thinking. Teachers will find the tools useful, whether introducing new
material in the classroom or reviewing and reinforcing homework assignments and
student-directed projects. Participant
will learn how to implement new way to empower students through such
interactive learning tools such as interactive whiteboard activities, iPod touch application, 3D virtual reality software, voicethread, video conferencing. Students will communicate,
collaborate, and develop skills necessary to succeed in tomorrow’s world while
staying connected!
