Teaching Chinese Grammar with Rainbow Lego System

This presentation includes introduction of a unique Chinese teaching material The Rainbow Lego System and its teaching pedagogy which created by the presenter.

In the field of Second Language Acquisition, many languages teaching pedagogy has been studied and presented. However, there is rarely an ideal teaching method for a pictographic language like Chinese. Moreover, nowadays, the learners¡¯ learning style has been playing an important role in second language learning.  Thus, the presenter will take this opportunity to demonstrate the creation of the RLS, its implication, as well as, how the RLS system helps learners with different learning style in learning Chinese Grammar.

This twenty minutes presentation shares the idea of new trend of grammar teaching. The presentation will begin with power point slide show and then presenter-participants two way discussion. Followed by that is the hands on activity.

The highlight of this presentation is the learner-centered activity will occur through out the presentation; and the participants will take home with novel and practical ideas for Chinese grammar teaching.
