Student -centered learning and performance-based teaching are two approaches based on the principles of Standards of Foreign Language Teaching. Actually focusing on the learner in our Chinese language classroom is a challenge. Digital Chinese Storytelling is an innovative, effective and fun way to meet this challenge. This is a real world meaningful task that can engage student active learning at each student’s own pace. 

In the presentation, the presenter will 1) present samples of students’ powerful, emotional, moving, engaging and uplifting Digital Chinese Storytelling; 2) explore the process of making digital Chinese stories step by step; 3) discuss the strength and limitation of Digital Chinese Storytelling.

以学生为中心及以表达为主导是我们中文教学中的两大目标。但是真正在课堂上做到这两点对我们老师来说还是一个挑战。。影像中文故事是一个新型的有效的也很有趣的方法来对付这个挑战,这个跟真实世界相关的学习项目能发挥每个学生学习的主动性和积极性, 能使学生学中文学得更有兴趣。学在这里我想和大家1)分享我学生做的非常感人的影像中文故事;2)探讨做影像中文故事的步骤;3)讨论它的优点和缺点.
