Teaching Chinese at Secondary Schools: Application of media technology in teaching iGeneration students

Our students today iGeneration learners and live in an “iWorld” in which technology is not only omnipresent, but also easily adaptable as very effective language teaching and learning tools. This panel discusses ways in which media technology (podcasting, blogs, projects, language software, interactive website, radio and video resources, etc.) can be used to promote language acquisition in and out of the classroom. In doing so, the panel will highlight key features of these tools that teachers can use to enhance instruction and motivate students and how they can be integrated into an existing curriculum
