Major Points:
We are very aware
that the integration of ICT into the Chinese curriculum in various ways can
enhance learning. However, whether certain media are effective in Chinese
teaching or not depends on the way we use them. After taking current situation
into consideration, some applications are not widely and fully integrated in
Chinese teaching and learning.
Therefore, this
workshop will present practical use of the ICT in Chinese classroom from the
following aspects: Chinese words processors, multimedia products and Internet.
A range of ideas and examples that are recording what some teachers and
students are doing now will be provided. Some useful websites and medias will also be introduced. Finally, the presenter will
lead the group to share each other’s practice. It is hoped that such a
discussion and through justification of these ideas to encourage those who are
new to this area to embark on experimentation in their classroom with some
confidence.
